Why apps?
There are a range of mental health and wellbeing apps available.
If someone has a mental health problem, apps aren’t always a replacement for other forms of support, like medication or talking to a professional. But apps can play a really important part in helping us look after our wellbeing and mental health.
Apps tend to be quick to access, without a waiting list, and you can control how often (and when) you use them. Many apps are free – and you don’t need a referral from anyone to give them a go.
If you need urgent support, text NATTER to 85258 or visit the Get help now page.
Choosing an app with Best For You
There are over 350,000 digital healthcare apps available – a pretty overwhelming amount. It can be difficult to narrow down which apps to try, especially if you haven’t used a wellbeing app before, or if you’re not sure which you can trust.
The Best For You website has a small selection of some of the best wellbeing and mental health apps available. The apps are designed to support you with different things in different ways – some have information, while others have audio for meditation and mindfulness, or interactive tools.
Every app on this site can be used for free – some are entirely free, while others have some optional paid-for features.
